Answered Prayers For Nairobi Chapel Ladies as they Register 1st Win.

It was a sweet outing at the Coast as Nairobi Chapel recorded their first win in the women’s Super League match after beating hosts Mombasa Sports Club by 2 straight goals. Prevon Nasambu and Sheila Orina ensured the City girls bagged maximum points. The 2 goals were scored in the 11th and the 23rd minute respectively.

In the other super league ladies’ match, JKUAT, and Vikings shared points after drawing 0-0.

Super League Men

Sikh Union defeated coastal based side Mvita Xi 5-0 at the Dashmesh stadium. Harvir Singh scored 2 goals while Shabaz Shah, Hirman Mudher, and Collins Winjila scored a goal each.

KCA University came from the break with a bang defeating Parkroad Tigers 2-1 at City Park. Kevin Okutoyi, and Kevin Gachara scored in the 6th and 48th minute of the game. Arron Kiplangat scored the consolation goal 4 minutes to the end of the match.

National League

Eastern Zone

In the men’s National League fixtures, Daikyo Heroes hammered visiting side Thika Rovers by 7 goals to 1. Thika was the first to score in the 7th minute courtesy of Onesmus Chege. Farhan Khan and George Omondi scored 2 goals each. Tonny Omondi, Austin Otieno, and Bonface Mandela scored a goal each for heroes.

Mombasa West drew 1 all with Nairobi Chapel. Anthony Wamalwa and Charles Ombai scored scored for West and Chapel in the 33rd and 48th minutes of the match respectively.

Western Zone

Kitale Hockey Club drew 1-1 against visiting side and current league leaders, Blue Pirates. Dickson Maruti scored for the pirates 4 minutes into the game. Lameck Chumo leveled the scores in the 23rd minute.

Premier League

Men

Kakamega-based Western Jaguars finished their first leg in style bagging maximum points from their match against Strathmore University. The youthful sides fought down to the wire with all signs predicting a barren draw.
However, in the 44th minute, Conrad Khafwafwa completed a well-executed pass from Michael Mboya from a counterattack after a botched penalty corner.
The Jaguars will be seeking a top 3 finish at the end of the season. Jaguars will play away to Butali as they start their second round of matches in Nairobi.

Ammon Esese’s goal in the 32rd minute for Sailors to get the all important 3 points against Greensharks in the last match of the day.

Ladies

Blazers, were on fire defeating DFG Wolverines 3-0. Blazers Captain Tracy Karanja, Eleanor Chebet, and Samantha scored in the 14th, 43rd and 60th minute of the game.
