The Daikyo Heroes Hockey Club has made some exciting moves in the offseason, securing the services of three talented players from across the Kenyan hockey landscape.

Leading the charge is Conrad Wafula, a dynamic forward who joins the Heroes from the Western Jaguars. Wafula first discovered his passion for hockey during his time at Friends School Kamusinga, honing his skills before making the jump to the Jaguars senior team.

Daikyo has also recruited Derrick Jabali, a skilled midfielder from the powerhouse Kenya Police squad. Jabali’s hockey journey began at Kisumu Day High School, where he first showcased his playmaking abilities. He later joined the Kisumu Youngstars club, gaining valuable experience before earning his place with the national police team.

Rounding out the new signings is Henry Otuoma, a tenacious defender who returns to the Daikyo Heroes after a spell with KCA University. Otuoma’s hockey odyssey began in class 6 at St. Charles Lwanga High School in Mombasa, where he first picked up a stick. He then transitioned to the club level, suiting up for the Mombasa Sports Club and Mombasa West Hockey Club before joining the Heroes’ ranks.

These high-profile acquisitions are sure to bolster the Daikyo Heroes’ roster as they aim to mount a serious challenge for the Kenyan hockey championship in the upcoming season. Fans eagerly await the chance to see these talented players don the Heroes’ colors and lead the charge towards glory.
