“It was a Sweet Victory and Revenge For us” – Police Coach Mugambi Reacts after Wazalendo Win

Kenya Police Head Coach was a very happy man after the match against Wazalendo on Sunday where they won 3-0.

“It was a sweet victory for us and revenge because they denied us a number 2 slot in the last season”

Said Coach Mugambi

Samuel Odongo converted a penalty shot (Ps) 14th minute for police just after Bonny Ndobi and Omari Cliffe showed green cards.

Immediate former skipper, Oliver Echenje superbly finish in the 21st minute giving the “boys in blue” a 2nd goal.

Samuel Odongo converted the 2nd Ps with only 2 minutes to halftime.

Come 2nd half efforts by captain Barry Danstone and team make a comeback could not bear fruit.

The experienced Police side kept the young side on their toes avoiding mistakes that could cost them.

Njongu Ndungu who was fresh from in charge of the team for the 1st time as Wazalendo coach said he is going to reset and come back.

Police have never lost their 1st match in any season.

Police will be facing Butali next on 26th March while Wazalendo faces USIU-A on 20th March.
