The International Hockey Federation (FIH) promoted various Kenya Hockey Union officials to various positions in the international hockey panel.
Charity Nekesa Majimbo, Titus Ngolia, and Debora Wambane Agunda were promoted to International panel umpire for outdoor hockey while Ester Adolwa was promoted to Technical Official – International Elite Panel for Hockey.
Majimbo and Ngolia have been promoted to international umpire for outdoor hockey while Agunda will serve as an FIH umpire manager.
On the other hand, due to the upcoming Africa games qualifier, senior officials of the Kenya Hockey Union have been drawn to be Managers in various capacities at the tournament. The KHU president, Col. (RTD) Nashon Randiek, was appointed as the Umpires’ Manager (UM) (M/W) for the North-west Africa Qualifier for AAG 2023 (M/W) that is due to take place in Abuja, Nigeria from August 25th 2022 to August 30th 2022.
Ms. Dorothy Muga was appointed as the Tournament Director (TD) (M/W) for the Central-South Africa Qualifier for AAG 2023 (M/W) that is due to take place in Harare, Zimbabwe from August 31st 2022 to September 4th 2022.
Mr. Shiraz Yakub was handed the appointment as the Umpires’ Manager (UM) (M/W) for the Central-South Africa Qualifier for AAG 2023 (M/W) that is scheduled to take place in Harare, Zimbabwe from 31st August 2022 to 4th September 2022.
