Kivukoni and Mombasa West successfully defended their U11 and U13 at the 2022 MCHA Hockey 5s Festival.
The festival was held on 19th March 2022 at the Mombasa Sports Club.
A total of 13 teams (5 boys and 8 girls) took part in the 1 day tournament.
Boys Category
Kivukoni Boys defeated Coast Academy 1-0 to lift the under 11 category trophy.
In the under 13 category, Mombasa West also beat Kivukoni by a goal to lift the trophy.
Girls Category
Tunza Kisumu dominated both in the U11 and U13 girls category.
In the U13 where Tunza Kisumu had registered 2 teams, they both defeated Kivukoni and Tunza Kwale 2-0 and 3-0 respectively to meet in the finals.
Kisumu A then beat Kisumu B by a solitary goal to lift the 2022 cup.
In the U11 category, Tunza Kisumu met 2020 winners Kivukoni and defeated them narrowly in a hotly contested game that ended 3-2.
