MSC crowned Kings and Queens of Coastal Hockey League.

Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) were on Monday 12th December 2022 crowned the Kings and Queens of the Coastal Hockey League. They were feted in an event held at the Aryans Grounds where the last matches of the league were played.


MSC emerged winners after they managed to beat the new side Swans in all the 6 games. They also scored a total of 24 goals with the Swans managing to get a goal into the net.


It was a down to the wire for the men’s title after MSC and Daikyo Heroes were tied on points after their matches on Saturday. MSC defeated Daikyo 1-0 on Sunday to lift the title. The goal was scored by Mariano 6 minutes into the game and gave them the win they need to open a 3 point gap and be crowned the Kings of the Coastal Hockey League. They finish the league 18 points while Daikyo came ion 2nd with 15 points. Mombasa West and Mvita XI were 3rd and 4th respectively.

The league kicked off in November 2021 and had 3 legs. The next season is expected to kick off early in the year subject to ratification.
