MSC Men and Women Win Big; Daikyo Draw with Mombasa West in MCHA League.

Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) ladies and men’s teams continued their dominance in the Mombasa County Hockey Association (MCHA) League which resumed yesterday.

Men’s League

Mvita XI lost 2-1 to MSC in the 1st game of the day. Mvita was the first to score in the 19th minute through a Penalty Corner (PC) courtesy of Egesa Gabriel. In the 45th minute, Terrence Webwana equalized for MSC. 3 minutes later they got a PC and Emadau Esoka added the 2nd goal for MSC.

In the last men’s game, Daikyo Heroes drew 1-1 with Mombasa West. Austin Otieno of Daikyo scored 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. West’s Fannuel Asava equalized in the 55th minute spoiling the party for Daikyo.

MSC is still at the top of the log with 11 points, Daikyo is 2nd with 9 points and West is 3rd with 7 points.

Ladies

MSC beat young side Swan 7-0 in the 2nd match of the day. Alice Jokeyo scored 4 goals in the 14th, 18th, 23rd, and 34th minutes of the game. Esther Mwikali, Yvonne Chemutai, and Brenda Wangila scored in the 20th, 22, and 54th minutes of the game.
