Surprising Results as week 16 games end on Sunday.  

Week 16 of the KHU League came to a close today with some surprise results as all 8 matches scheduled were played. MSC ladies, Greensharks, Bay, Nakuru, and Sikh Union were the biggest winners on Sunday getting 3 points. Daikyo Hero clean sheet record ended on Sunday while playing against Impala.

Premier League Men

One surprising match result was between Wazalendo and USIU-A (Mashujaa) which ended 1-1. As expected March started on a high with Wazalendo getting to test the goalkeeper 3 minutes into the game Wazalendo got the 1st pc which Captain Barry missed to get it by inches while trying to get it on the bottom right it of the goal. 

Playing a high line game bore fruits in the 12th minute as Barry again won them a PC. Cliff Omari successfully managed to score for his side. They continued dominating the quarter making attempts

Mashujaa picked up in the 2nd quarter with 10 minutes to go and continued to pile pressure on Wazalendo making them to pull back from their high line format of play. Wayne Korir finally managed to level scores for Mashujaa in the 36th minute through a brilliant field goal.

Attempts by the 2 sides to get 3 points bore no fruit as they both missed open chances to do so.

Earlier Greensharks  sprang out of a string of bad results beating Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) 3-1. Benson Mawich opened the score 2 minutes into the match. MSC responded 6 minutes later through James Omondi leveling the scores.

Adan Salah scored a double in the 38th minute through a Penalty Spot, and 51 minute. Sharks move a spot up to 7th position on the log.

Super League

Men

Hosea Walucho scored a brace in the 11th and 36th minute for Sikh Union (Simba) as they thrashed Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 4-0 at City Park. Davis Wanangwe gave Simba the opener in the 2nd while, Harvir Ghataure scored the 3rd in the 13th minute.

Parkroad Tigers lost to Nakuru in their home turf in Nakuru 3-0. The goals were scored by Garry Jean Louis, and Alex Taiswa in the 5, 23, and 53 minutes of the game respectively.

Multimedia University (MMU) men were given a walkover after a no show by Parklands Sports Club. MMU were awarded 5 goals and 3 points for that match.

Women

MSC ladies finished their weekend on a high winning their 2nd match of the weekend beating MMU 2-0. Twins Alice Jokeyo, and Dorah Jokeyo scored for the Mombasa queens in the 11th and,18th minutes of the game respectively.

National League

Eastern Zone

Peter Luseno of Impala and George Omondi of Daikyo Heroes scored for the 2 sides as they drew 1-1 at the Impala grounds. Luseno scored the opener in the 12th minute while Omondi leveled for the coastal side in the 45 minute of the game.

Western Zone

Bay Club managed to finally got a 2-1 away win against Kitale Hockey Club. Geoffrey Odhiambo converted a penalty corner 21st minute of the game, Caleb Otieno added the 2nd for Bay in the 28th minute. Ian Wasike scored the consolation goal in the 49th minute for the home side.
