Tanzania People Defence Forces (TPDF) began the 2022 Mapinduzi Hockey Tournament on a high defeating Tanga Stars 2-0.
TPDF will this morning face 2022 runners up Black Mamba and if they win they book a slot in the semi final to be be played on Sunday.
In the other matches played, defending champs Moshi Khalsa yesterday drew 1-1 with Arusha Twigas.
Annadil Burhani and JMK Park also drew 1-1 in Pool A.
