The first match on Sunday saw WHC Titans pick up a deserved 4-1 victory over City Lions thanks to clinical finishing from Makumbi, Jjuuko, Owako and Kafeero. Andama’s 40th minute reply for City Lions proved mere consolation as WHC Titans’ class showed throughout.
In the day’s other match, Makerere managed a hard-fought 1-0 win over Thunders courtesy of Hamya’s decisive 58th minute strike. The University team’s industry and defensive resilience ultimately saw them home against their determined opponents.
Kampala recorded a 2-1 victory over Rockets in the weekend’s closing game, with early goals from striker Mpiima setting them on their way before Okethayot’s second half reply proved insufficient for a fightback.
