Hockey Africa has announced the full match schedule for both the men’s and women’s competitions at the 2024 Indoor Africa Cup from May 23-26 in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Opening Fixtures
On the opening day, defending champions South Africa will face Botswana in the first women’s match at 3:30pm, while the Namibian men take on Zimbabwe at 5pm.
Group Stage Battles
Throughout Thursday and Friday, the four competing nations in each category – South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe for both men and women – will clash in the group stage round-robin format.
Placement Games
On Saturday, the 5th-8th placing games will be decided for both genders. The medal matches will then see the top two ranked sides in each competition face off on Sunday afternoon for gold and silver.
Host Nation Fixtures
Namibia’s national teams are sure to draw big home crowds for their encounters against South Africa on Thursday evening. All matches will be fiercely contested on the indoor arena in Swakopmund.
