Blades and Chui ranked 37 and 55 in Latest Movements in World Rankings.

The Kenya ladies (Blades) and men (Chui) have been ranked number 37 and 55 respectively by FIH last week. The Kenyan ladies have gained 22.50 points while their male counterparts have lost 64.21. The Blades now have 604.83 points down from 582.32 while Chui now have 695.01 from 759.23.

The Blades gained the points during the commonwealth games in their match against Ghana where Kenya won them in the shootouts 3-2 after playing out to a 2-2 draw during the regular time in a ninth/tenth place classification match. Chui lost the 64.21 points during the 2022 African Cup of Nations match against Nigeria. The match ended 4-2 in favor of Nigeria.

The rankings calculations model that FIH introduced on 1st January 2020. They moved away from the previous tournament-based rankings system to a dynamic, match-based method. Opposing teams exchange points in official, FIH sanctioned games. The number of points exchanged depends on the result of the match, the relative ranking of the teams and the importance of the match.
