Africa is counting down to the 2024 Olympics in Paris that will start on Friday, 26 July 2024 to Sunday, 11 August 2024. The African Hockey Fereration has organised the Men and Women The African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 that will be held in Pretoria, South Africa. It will be held from 29 October 2023 to 5 November 2023. 8 Men & 7 Women teams will be taking part in the tournament and they include, hosts South Africa (M&W), Egypt (M), Ghana (M&W), Kenya (M&W), Nigeria (M&W), Zimbabwe (M&W), Zambia (M&W), Namibia (W) and Uganda (M).

Last month Kenya Hockey Union recieved support from the National Olympics Committee (NOC-K) for the ladies in preparation for this event. They donated 3 Million Kenya Shillings grant to the National Women’s Hockey Team (Blades). This crucial support from the Olympic Solidarity Fund is designed to fortify the Blades’ preparations for the Continental Olympic Qualifier, a pivotal step on their journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
