Kampala Reigns Supreme in Women’s Hockey League, Extending their Dominance.

Kampala’s dominance in the Women’s Hockey League of Uganda shows no signs of wavering as they continue to assert their authority with three consecutive wins. Currently, they sit comfortably at the top of the league table, leaving their competitors in their wake.

Following closely behind Kampala is the Wananchi Hockey Dreams Foundation, holding the second position with six points. The Wananchi team itself also sits at six points, but the foundation side edges them out due to a superior goal difference of 24, while Wananchi has six goals to their name. In their most recent match, Kampala displayed their dominance by defeating the Thunders with a resounding scoreline of 23-0.

Another noteworthy team making strides in the league is Deliverance Church, whose victory over Makerere University propelled them to the fourth position in the standings. Their impressive performance resulted in a 3-0 win and showcased their growing strength in the competition. Weatherhead currently occupies the fifth spot on the log, followed by WHC Historicals, Makerere University, and Thunders.

Looking at the goal charts, Janet Nakato and Juliet Babirye, players from Wananchi Hockey Dreams Foundation, lead the pack with an impressive tally of eight goals each. Following closely behind is Sandra Namusoke from Kampala, occupying the third position with five goals to her credit. Rachel Atuhura of Wananchi Hockey Dreams Foundation secures the fourth spot with four goals.

In the three-goal position, we have Anita Atim from Weatherhead, alongside her teammate Hildastar Blondemu, as well as Carol Aguti, Norah Alum, and Winnie Alaro from Kampala. These talented individuals have shown their prowess on the field, contributing significantly to their respective teams’ overall performance.
