24 goals were scored over the weekend as KHU League week 3 matches came to a close in Nairobi, Eldoret, and Kakamega.
National League
Karate Axiom finally got a win beating Nairobi Chapel by a solitary goal. The goal was scored in the 50th minute courtesy of Griffins Bosire.
Blue Pirates raided Bay Club and got away with 3 points from a goal courtesy of Captain Samuel Shirali 6 minutes into 2nd half of the game.
In the western zone circuit, Debutants Nandi Hawks thrashed their neighbors UoE at their home ground 3-1.
Walter Rono put the Hawks ahead in the 6th minute. Cliff Oyaya added the 2nd one in the 25th minute.
Maiz Onyango scored for UoE in the 31st minute and with 3 minutes to stoppage time, Hemeshire Kibet scored the 3rd goal for the Hawks.
Super League
Sikh Union beat TUK 1-0 at the Dashmesh Stadium. MMU Drew 0-0 with Parklands in the early kickoff match.
On Sunday, KCA University beat Parkroad Tigers 3-1 in the early kickoff match of the day.
Arnold Marangu, Stephen Okoth, and Rono Kigen scored for KCA in the 11th, 28th, and 40th minute respectively.
Fredrick Puma scored the lone goal for Tigers 8 minutes into the game.
Premier League
Gilly OKumu’s superb backhand by in the 26th minute was the only goal Strathmore needed to get 3 points from DFG.
In the last match of the day, Butali Warriors beat Greensharks 3-0.
Goals from Festus Onyango, Constant Wakhura, and Shammah Ademba gave the warriors the much-deserved win.
On Sunday, Blazers were held to a 1-1 draw by USIU – A (Spartans)
Blazers’ defender Terry Masibo gave the lead as she converted from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute.
Naomi Kemunto leveled for Spartans 8 minutes later giving them their 1st draw against Blazers.
