The KHU League today will see 9 matches scheduled to be played across the country. There will be 3 Men Super League matches and 1 Ladies Super League, 1 National League Western Zone, 3 National League Eastern Zone, and 1 Premier League men’s match which makes a return after a 2-week break.
Super League
6th placed Parklands Sports Club faceoff with league leaders Sikh Union (Simba) in the early fixture to be played at the Dashmesh Stadium at 11 am. In their previous 8 meetings, Simba has won 4 times including the last time they met in 2020. Parklands on the other hand have won twice against the lions and have drawn the remaining times.
At City Park, there will be a university derby pitting 10th placed Multimedia University (MMU) and 9th placed Kenyatta University (KU) Vultures. MMU has won 3 and Vultures has won 2 of their last 5 encounters. This will be MMU’s 4th match and both teams have only won 1 match this season.
Technical University of Kenya (TUK) who are at the coast play Mvita XI at 3 pm at Aryans Grounds. Mvita has not lost any match against TUK and the last time they met Mvita defeated them 3-2. There will be only 1 ladies’ inter-varsities clash between Multimedia University (MMU), and Kenyatta University (KU). MMU will be playing their 4th match while KU will be playing their 5th match. KU has won all their matches against MMU in the league.
National League
Bungoma Farmers who are 7th on the log host 2nd placed Blue Pirates in Bungoma in the only Western Zone fixture of the day. This will be Farmers 4th match having not won a single match. Pirates have played 4 matches, won 2 drawn 1, and lost 1.
2 matches will be played at Strathmore University grounds. The 1st match will be Gorilla taking on Nairobi Chapel and the 2nd is Daystar University versus Thika Rovers.
In Mombasa Current League leaders in the Eastern Zone Daikyo host Karate who are bottom of the log.
Premier League
The last match of the day will be between USIU taking on Butali Warriors in the only Premier League Men’s side scheduled to be played. USIU has drawn only once with Butali in the last 7 encounters back in 2019. Both sides have drawn twice this season but the Warriors have not lost any single match. USIU has lost 2 and won 1 match.
