Sunday games’ review

National League

Two matches were played today in the national league; Impala hockey club played their second match of the weekend when they hosted Karate Axiom at the Impala club while Blue Pirates hosted Kisii Falcons in Kakamega.

Impala clinched their second win of the weekend by beating Karate by only a solitary goal scored by Peter Luseno in the 20th minute. In Kakamega, the match between Blue Pirates and Kisii falcons with both teams splitting the points after drawing. The hosts scored first through a goal from their captain Samuel Shinali in the 39th minute with the visitors equalizing in the 51st minute courtesy of Jensen Bosire.

Premier League

The premier league also saw the only matches today at City Park with Parkroad Badgers facing varsity side USIU-A and Greensharks playing Butali. USIU managed to win big by beating Parkroad badgers four goals to none. Justine Ng’etich scored a brace in the 10th and 41st minute of the game with the other two goals coming in a span of five minutes from the second goal courtesy of Happy Psirmoi in the 44th minute and Lawrence Okubasu in the 45th minute.

Butali comfortably won their first game of the second leg by beating Greensharks by three goals to none. Festus Onyango opened the score sheet on the second minute with the second goal coming in the 17th minute of the game courtesy of Vincent Odhiambo. Festus managed to bag a brace by scoring Butali’s third goal in the 55th minute.
