The 3rd and final round of the Coastal Hockey League is to be held this weekend on the 10th and 12th of December 2022 at Mombasa Sports Club and Aryans respectively. The league comprises 4 men’s teams and 2 ladies’ teams.
10th December fixtures
Men
There will be 2 matches played on this day at the Mombasa Sports Club (MSC). 2nd placed Daikyo Heroes play 3rd placed Mombasa West at 1 pm. Daikyo has 12 points from 7 matches played. they have also scored 10 goals and conceded half of that. Mombasa West on the other hand has 7 points from the 7 matches they have played. They have scored 3 goals only this season and have conceded 8 goals.
Current league leaders MSC will play Mvita XI who are at the bottom of the log at 4 pm. MSC has 14 points and has scored 14 goals and has conceded 6 goals from the 7 matches played. Mvita XI has 3 points from 3 draws and 4 losses. They have managed to score 4 goals and have conceded 11.
Ladies
MSC ladies play Swans for the 5th time at 2:30 pm at the same venue. The Swans have not won any game this season against MSC. They have conceded 17 goals and have managed to score only 1. The Swans are a young side with players drawn from Pwani University and the Technical University of Mombasa.
12th December fixtures
On the 12th actions shift to the Aryans grounds where 3 matches again will be played. The matches will kick off at 9:30 am pitting Mvita XI and Mombasa West. The Swans will get onto the pitch and play the MSC ladies at 10:30. The last match will be between MSC and Daikyo at noon.
