21 teams have so far confirmed participating in the Jamhuri Day weekend extravaganza that will be held at the City Park Stadium. The tournament is being organized by the interim committee of the Nairobi County Hockey Association (NCHA) and the Kenya Hockey Union from 10th to 12th December 2022.
Men’s team
15 teams up until yesterday night had registered and they include;

- Wazalendo (2 teams)
- Black Tigers
- Park road
- MMU
- Wazito Juniors
- KU
- Parklands
- Stunya Mafia
- UoN
- Sailors
- JKUAT Wildcats
- UHS alumni
- Impala
Ladies teams
6 ladies’ teams have confirmed participation and they include Blazers, Strathmore Scorpions, Black Tigress, Wolverines, UoN Vigilantes, and KU.
The tournament only invited teams from the county association to take part. They included clubs, junior teams, and universities and colleges in Nairobi County. The extravaganza is expected to kick off on the 10th of December with a closing ceremony at the end of Jamhuri Day which is the 12th of December 2022.
