Week 12 of the Kenya Hockey Union League continues today with 10 matches scheduled to be played. The categories are; 2 premier league men’s matches, 4 super league men’s, 1 Super league ladies’ match, and 3 national league games.
Premier League Men
There will be 2 premier league matches 1 at the coast and the 2nd at City Park. 10 place Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) face off with 3rd placed Wazalendo in Mombasa at 3 pm. This will be MSC’s 6th match having not recorded any win. Wazalendo has only lost 1 match and this will be their 6th match also.
At 4 pm will be a derby pitting Kenya Police and Parkroad Badgers at City Park. The boys in blue have won their last 3 games while Badgers have won 2 and lost 1 last Sunday to Wazalendo 5-1. Since 2016 Police has defeated Badgers in all their meeting with the highest score line being 5-1 in 2017.
Super League
Ladies
2nd placed MSC will be hosting 5th placed MMU ladies down at the coast. MSC has won 4 out of the 6 times the 2 sides have met. MMU has only had 1 win this season while MSC has 2 wins.
Men
Parklands Sports Club faceoff with Nakuru at City Park in the early kickoff match on Saturday. Parklands have won 1 match in their last 3 games while Nakuru’s best result has been a draw. Parklands have won 3 out of 5 meetings with Nakuru including their last in 2018 which ended 4-1.
KU Vulture host Kisumu Youngstars at City Park in the last match of the day. KU has won their last 3 matches while Nakuru has drawn 2 and won 1. The vultures have won 2 out of their last 4 matches. They have drawn 1-1 in the other 2 meetings.
