Sikh Union Nairobi have lifted the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Masters Series 3 in Mombasa today defeating the veterans from Nakuru 2-3 in sudden death after a 0-0 full match. Sikh becomes the 1st team to win the series back to back after winning the Nairobi series against Nakuru again.
After being second in the logs with 11 points, Sikh Union faced off with Impala Veterans in the 2nd Semi finals and beat them by a solitary goal. Nakuru played against Wazalendo and beat them 3-0 in the 1st Semi finals.
Wazalendo have improved on this leg by clinching the bronze in the series. This is the 1st time the side has made it to the podium stage since the series started. They defeated Impala 1-0 in the 3rd and 4th place for the series.
The KHU Masters Series 4 will be held on the 30th of September to the 1st of October 2023 in Nakuru.
