Western Jaguars arrest Police; Mvita snatch 3 points from Kisumu Youngstars

It was a mouth-watering Sunday to Hockey fans as the games lived up to their expectations and even exceed. A total of 4 out of 5 matches were played.

After what appeared to be another point for Mvita XI, Amos Wangwere managed to get the ball past Geoffrey Oduor with only 2 minutes to the final whistle. Mvita XI now has 4 points after drawing on Saturday against Nakuru 1-1.

JKUAT (Wild cats) managed to share points with experienced Parkroad Tigers. The match came alive in the 2nd half of the game when both teams started scoring goals.

With 7 minutes to the end of the 2nd quarter, Collins Odongo scored with a brilliant backhand goal beating Prince Gilbert.

In the 3rd quarter, the Tigers attacked the wildcats, and with 7 secs to the end 3rd quarter, they equalized courtesy of Meshack Mandela.

59 seconds to go a controversial Penalty Shot was awarded to the Tigers. Cyrus Kanyi went to take it and pushed it straight to the keeper’s pads.

Premier League

It was not a good day for Kenya Police in office as they lost their 1st match this season 2-1 to young-sided Western Jaguars in the 2nd match of the day. Police lost open chances when they raided Jaguars’ den but the young men and Goalkeeper Nawangi defended their territory.

Derrick Juma scored a fantastic field goal in the 20th minute for Jaguars. Jaguars continued to control possession of the game making other attempts.

A minute to go, Allan Malitu of Jaguars misses another chance to scorer after he had a one-on-one with Police goalkeeper Joshua Omondi.
